Five Key Abilities
Communicate
They are able to share their ideas powerfully and clearly.

Analyze and Solve Problems
They can see and solve the problems around them, using solid data to draw and communicate reasonable conclusions.

Understand Diversity
They understand how each individual’s experiences shape our society, and how societies, in turn, shape the way local and global resources are used.

Engage in Ethical Questions
They identify ethical choices, consider alternatives and consequences, and choose actions keeping in mind everyone affected.

Use Technology
They select and ethically use appropriate technology to create, communicate and discover.
These key abilities help students navigate the world. In each class they take, they should expect to be challenged to develop and deepen these key abilities. After they graduate, these abilities will help them continue learning, adapt to change, and become citizens who can make wise choices and contribute to their communities.
