Net Impact

by Tiffany Whitehead, Adjunct Faculty, Communications

Hello fellow faculty members!

I wanted to take the time to introduce you to a new club on the Bethlehem campus. The club’s name is Net Impact. Net Impact is a leadership accelerator for students and emerging changemakers. The Net Impact network is the largest of its kind—a diverse and determined force for good with more than 300 chapters in nearly 40 countries. These programs equip young leaders to thrive at the forefront of social change efforts. They build their networks, broaden their thinking, and scale their impact beyond individual actions. Simple ideas—from healthy school lunches to water conservation—become powerful initiatives with real impact on the environment and social equality. Net Impact leaders are creating ripples that reach tens of thousands more people, making a difference on the most pressing issues of our time. We believe in the unlimited potential of next-generation leaders to change the world.

This year our club is focusing on recycling and sustainability. We recently reached out to the Bethlehem Historical Society and will be working with them on maintaining their organic garden. In addition, we hope to work with other organizations and help them create or revamp their current recycling procedures. I hope that you can spread the word to your students so that we can have more power to make a difference. If you have any questions please reach out to me. We meet every other Thursday at 11am in the Center for Civic Engagement. Our next meeting will be held on April 4th.

Sincerely,

Tiffany
